Diana Kamin is a Professor of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University, where she teaches various courses including “Children and Media,” “Freedom of Expression,” “History and Culture of Advertising.” She earned her PhD in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University. Her exhibition catalogues have been published by various venues including the Whitney Museum of American Art and Guggenheim Museum. She is the author of “Mid-Century Visions, Programmed Affinities: The Enduring Challenges of Image Classification” and co-author of “Between Archived, Shredded, and Lost/Found: Erasure in Digital and Artistic Contexts.” She is currently working on a book project entitled "Picture-Work: On the Circulating Collection," which centers around the history and digitization of image collections in museum, library, and commercial contexts.
